Resolution A127

Resolution A127 (read it in its entirety)

*Resolved, That the Church hold before itself the vision of a Church without racism; a Church for all races.

Let us move into this new millennium resolved, That the Church hold before itself the vision of a Church without racism; a Church for all races, without the old curse of racism, leaving behind its evil and its goal to destroy the human spirit.

Let us strive with vigor to live up to a resolution that this would be a church of all races. Reconcilling the reflections of the past moving into the future without the curse of racism. I applaud the work of Satoshi Ito and the Anti Racism Commission of the Diocese of Southern Virginia. They meet on a regular basis with the goal of bringing an awareness to the curse of racism as practiced by some.

Who would admit that they are a racist? Rarey any especially persons in the Body of Christ, the Church of God; it would take courage to admit that a member would be guilty of the sin of racism. If no one fits the descriptive of out-right racist but has behaviors and acts that can be mistaken as racist then awareness is in order.

It is up to you and I to deconsrtuct the systems that seperate us and begin the age of reconcilliation.

I leave with you this gift of part one of a wonderful series by the BBC Four
